I had a song stuck in my head and started singing it…
“I’m a little teapot, short and stout…”
And then I started humming it…whereupon I realized that it sounded just like the Jeopardy! theme…
Has anyone else noticed that the Jeopardy! theme is really “I’m a Little Teapot” or am I just insane?
haha! i haven’t heard the jeopardy theme to comment on but i remember when i was young i liked to sing that teapot song complete with hand actions.
I cannot figure out why it was stuck in my head but I was imagining the actions along with it as well. *chuckles* here is a link to a midi version of the theme song. It actually sounds almost like the “real thing.” *laughs*
I’m not sure how scientific our test was yesterday, but I think it was still fairly conclusive: they are quite the same.
And I love how random ideas like this can pop into our heads: they make life together so much fun!
My work counterpart stated that she feels sorry for you, Neal, simply because my brain works so oddly and I come up with these things all the time. (She also tells me that I pay too much attention to lyrics in songs but…what the heck else am I supposed to do with them?) She doesn’t believe me when I tell her that you’re like this too and we just have loads of fun being around each other because of it.
She feels… sorry for me? To have a woman who is creative and has a fun mind to match mine, which allows us to find fun no matter where we go? *scratches head and channels Ron Weasely* She has definitely got to re-evaluate her priorities.

We do tend to have fun no matter what, eh? Even when stuck in icky traffic with seemingly nothing to do, we can keep each other entertained.
